Historic Farm Site

We are in the process of restoring the 1930's historic farm site at the entrance to the park. Once complete, this project will offer a glimpse of the history of Northeastern Guilford County.  Visitors will learn about the Gerringer-King family, a typical North Carolina farming family, who earned their livelihood growing and curing Brightleaf Tobacco. The restored historic farm site will commemorate North Carolina’s strong agricultural history by sharing the story of four generations who were born, raised, and taught to farm the land now home to Northeast Park.
